No time for exercise try these simple FREE moves
You don't need a gym membership to stay in shape ladies -
As you take clothes out of the washer, dryer, dishes in or out of the dishwsher or just plain picking up the towels and dirty laundry - BEND AT THE WAIST and pull in your stomach muscles while doing so - Always bend instaed of reaching - whittles away the waistline. Stretch as you put the dishes away - to stay flexible.
scrubbing floors - don't get on your knees - do squats down to the floor - put the bucket on a counter instead of on the floor - pull in your butt cheeks when you come back up for the bucket - It will take a few extra minutes to do the floor but you tighten the upper thigh and butt muscles while doing do.
Walking up steps - go up on the balls of you feet. This shapes the calf muscles as if you were walking on high heels without cramming those beautiful feet into those tight shoes -
Everytime you go into the bathroom or into the kitchen - put your hands on the counter and do 5 pushups off the counter top. lifts the bust, firms the upper arm NO MORE JIGGLE.
Another trick - bring arms up in the air just above the bust line (45 degree angel) - parallel to each other - tighen the arm and shoulder muscles - palms up or in fists - and move them towards each other in front of your chest. keep the force up as you are doing so (this is isometirc excerise) you try to resist the force that you created by tighening the muscles. builds arm strength and eliminates the jiggle.
While in your car - on a long ride, sitting in traffic or waiting outside of school etc.. waiting for the kids to come - pull in your stomach muscles and hold for a count of ten. slowly release - not only will it tighten up your stomach muscles, but helps release tension and clears your mind. Don't forget to do you keggles too!
Making dinner? When you have a few seconds while doing dinner - rest your hand on the counter top and turn sideways - keep your arm straight - now lift the opposite leg as high as you can - repeat ten times now switch -
Another making dinner thing - but don't burn the meal - is singing and dancing alone or with the children - inspires memories as well as fun and excerise at the same time - (you also consume less calories directly after exercise) - And it puts you in a good mood.
Young ones at home? lay on your back - pick the baby up bring your knees towards your chest and put the baby on your feet - hold onto the baby and bring your feet up into the air - continue this several times - the baby will giggle - you will laugh and you will feel it in your upper thighs and butt. Excerise while playing with the baby.
Going into the bottom of the refrigrator? Squat don't reach or bend at the waist and pull your gut in while doing so.
don't like doing situps? lay on the floor and raise your feet 6 inches off the floor. point your toes and hold as long as you can. Pull your tummy muscles in while your feet are in the air - Another isometric excerise.
Sitting at a desk all day? While no one is looking move to the edge of your chair - pull in your stomach muscles. keep your knees together and make your knees parallel to your belly. hold until you feel the burn
Do butt squeezes while sitting in the chair -
In the copy room by yourself? leg lifts or squats - you can make it look like you needed to stretch if anyone comes in - push ups off the sink or wall each time you go to the ladies room - walk whenever possible -
all of these small things tone your body and awaken your mind as you go through your day
