There are 5 main potential energetic defects that can exist in the aura. These include:

• Blocked Chakras
• Energetic Impurities (in the aura)
• Leaks and Tears (in the auric field)
• Depletion of the Auric Field
• Disturbance of the Energy Flow in the Aura

Other defects that can occur within chakras include:

• Chakras being undercharged
• Chakras being overactive or underactive
• Structural defects within chakras

   

Blocked Chakras

When a chakra is "blocked", the flow of energy through that chakra has become restricted. Because energy travels and flows up and down the central channel of the energy system, when one chakra is blocked, it affects the overall flow of energy within the energy field and entire body. Blocks are usually related to psychological patterns and ways of thinking which are negative or restrictive. Clearing blocked chakras is not only good for treatment of existing conditions, but is good as a preventative as well.

Most people seeking healing, have at least one or more blocked chakras, but patterns and causes differ for everyone. Sometimes chakras can become chronically blocked and need repeated clearing. Other blocks are related to transitory issues a client may be experiencing. Doing chakra clearing regularly can be of great benefit. 

Impurities are commonly found in many individuals and they represent stagnant energies which accumulate and are held within the energy field. They are found mainly over the surface of the body. Such accumulations of stagnant energy negatively affect the flow of energy in the field and thus can contribute to physical diseases, emotional issues, or other problems if left untreated. Impurities can be related to negative thoughts which are being held by a client or they can be caused by some impropper energetic functioning of the body (usually still with a psychological root).

As with clearing blocks, clearing impurities can often be sensed by a client who will feel a sense of lightness or clearing.

Leaks and Tears

Leaks and tears are conditions of damange to the fabric or integrity of the energy field.

Leaks (generally occuring on the first layer of the aura alone) are certain areas in the energy field which are thinning and where the energy is leaking out of the field slowly. Tears on the other exist more as holes in the auric field potentially extending through more than one layer of the field. Tears leave patients more unprotected and psychically vulnerable to outside energies.  Although leaks also have a negative effect, it is less drastic.

Joints are common places to find leaks, but they can also be found over areas of physical trauma. Tears, on the other hand, are more often found over the front of the body (sometimes small ones are found over chakras), and are often related to stress (physical, mental, emotional), operations, or traumatic experiences.

Energy depletion occurs when the energy field has lost some of its vibrancy. This slows things down and has an effect on energetic processes and the body. When the auric field is depleted, there usually exists a condition of low energy on all the layers of the auric field.  Left untreated, the host can become more vulnerable to various afflictions and illness.

This less common condition exists as an overall irregularity in the energy flow within the auric field. It is usually more evident on the lower layers of the aura, more common to the first to third layers. It can usually be sensed as an erratic flow of energy within the energy field.

Chakras that are undercharged are lacking in their functioning (appearing more faded and less radiant to psychic sight), thus leaving chakras more vulnerable to energetic impurities. While  the lower chakras manifest more self-healing tendencies,  higher chakras are less self-healing and thus their being undercharged is more detrimental. It is in the best interest of the host to bring such undercharged chakras back to healthy functioning. The most common chakras which experience this tendency includ the 3rd, 4th and 5th chakras. Empathically, one might sense weakness within the chakra if it is undercharged.

Underactive chakras are not the same as undercharged chakras and do not necessarily occur together. Underactive chakras may appear to ones psychic sight as smaller than normal when viewing all chakras on the body. They may appear spinning too slowly. Overactive chakras appear too large and spinning too fast. When all the chakras are in balance, they are the same size and spinning equally. Such chakra defects may become chronic and require repeated treatments.

Chakras with structural defects have less ability to process energy purely. This is due to a problem within the chakras inherent structure. It is one of the most serious chakra conditions and may result in emotional issues, chronic conditions or other illness. Structural Defects in chakras are not self-healing and are rarer. When found are most common to the upper chakras (4th - 7th).

Detecting or treating energetic defects can be done through various means or techniques. Some detection techniqes include:

• Muscle Testing (using the body as a divination tool)
• Passing of hands (sensing the energy field with the hands)
• Intuition (seeing in the minds eye)
• Aura viewing with the physical eye

Treating defects can be done through various techniques including visualization/meditation, prayer/intention, EFT (energy psychology), energy work, or even certain certain exercises.
