Thought of the day

There are many thoughts we have easily over 40,000 a day. I just want to add one more.

A blog about nothing
The Druid's Grove ~ Thought of the Day

"The great majority work only when forced by necessity, and this natural human aversion to work gives rise to the most difficult social problems."

(Freud)

A blog about nothing

I can’t think of anything to write today. I’ve been blogging for well over a year, every week-day, and today is the first time “writers block” has completely taken hold. There have been other days where I was stumped for a few minutes, but inspiration came somehow – somewhere. Today? Nothing. So here I am, not wanting to miss a day of blogging but also not having a clue what to write about.

I’m sure something will come to me; I trust that there is enough in this world to inspire me. I just have to get out there and experience it. That pretty much is what we are all about isn’t it? The experience. After all, what do you know if you’ve not experienced it? We can read all we want in a book, or even a well worded blog, but when it comes right down to it, experience is the true teacher.

So, let’s all do that today. Let’s review what we have learned. Take about 30 minutes today and calm yourself and relax. Use whatever breathing technique or meditation you wish, and get yourself in a quiet mode. Then start to think of your experiences. Maybe even write them out somewhere. Then meditate on what you learned from them.

They say everything happens for a reason. Our life may feel like it sucks at times, but if you take a hard, honest look at it, I think you’ll find your choices support a sucky life, and your experiences will have – should have taught you a great deal.

In this exercise, don’t get hung up on self-pity (an easy thing to do) but rather rejoice in the wisdom you have gained. I want you to see your ‘failures’ as the stepping stones to your greatness. Because in the end, that is exactly what they are. You can be sad you have grey hair, or you can rejoice that you are not bald! The choice is ours to make.

Bright blessings ~ Richard

Don't forget to take a look at my book too!

Can someone please tell me why my life sucks?!

Do you have that friend that is always saying; "It'll never work." Have you heard them say, "I'm not a pessimist, I'm a realist!". If you know someone like that then they need my book. Its a little book packed full of perspective to help anyone stay on course - it's better than a compass!

For this coming New Year I also highly recommend Debbie Ford's book - The Best Year of my Life.
