An Apple a day? Forget about it; try WATER!
The Druid's Grove ~ Thought of the Day
“Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has no survival value; rather is one of those things that give value to survival.”
(C.S. Lewis)
An apple a day? Forget about it, try WATER! |
Water. Have you ever thought about the qualities of water, and how magnificent it is? First our planet is covered with about 75% water; the same as your human body at birth. Water is the only molecule that behaves the opposite of any other molecule on this planet. That is to say when you cool water below freezing it expands… Other elements when brought to this temperature contract. Water is the essence of life. Some even say we (the human race) sprang froth from the water. In fact we would not have the DNA helix without water. Water is one of the softest most malleable substances on the Earth, they it is also the harshest of solvents, and if you fell a distance and landed on the surface of, say a deep lake, you’d probably break every bone in your body. Anyone can plainly see the corrosive power of water when you look at rust, or the beauty of the Grand Canyon in the United States, or the White Cliffs of Dover in the UK.
The scientific research that has been done on water has been amazing. But what is so very interesting is that despite modern day science, Buddhists have known about the qualities of water for over 2,500 years! And isn’t that the way things are starting to come about. Our science is only now starting to prove what the Masters taught us centuries ago. What was part of our innate human nature from the beginning is coming to light now via science. And still there are those out there that will be nay-sayers. Quantum Physics is not true science they will tell you; “It is nothing but modern day snake oil”. I just quote physicist, Fred Alan Wolf, PhD; “What I thought was unreal, now for me... seems in some ways to be more real than what I think to be real... which seems now more to be unreal.” For a wonderfully revealing video regarding the science of water please watch this
