Thought of the day

There are many thoughts we have easily over 40,000 a day. I just want to add one more.

An excuse a day keeps success at bay.
The Druid's Grove ~ Thought of the Day

"Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You."

(Dr. Suess )

An excuse a day keeps success at bay.

We all have goals. Well, I hope you have goals. I hope this because without goals it is so easy to become resigned to the status quo, or bored. Then we start loosing interest and it’s so easy to get ‘out of step’ with everything around us.

If we have a goal, then we should have a plan; the roadmap of how to get from A to B. But does your roadmap discuss the roadblocks that always seem to come about? We know the sort of things that always seem to crop up that stop us in our tracks. Do we plan for them? We should.

So, what’s your excuse? We all have tons of excuses; we all make hundreds of justifications every day. “I’m just too tired today”, “I’m too busy”, “I thought YOU were going to do that”, and probably the worst possible excuse, “I’ll do it tomorrow”. Tomorrow, however magically never seems to come. Imagine if you will that excuses were not possible. Can you imagine what your life would be like?

This week let’s do an exercise. Pick one area of your life that you’d like to be different. Then think about any of the excuses you might use to derail your success in that area. Evaluate them to make sure they are excuses then make sure they are part of your plan as things to avoid. It’s not an easy task I know, but it is valuable.

Don't forget to take a look at my book too!

Can someone please tell me why my life sucks?!

Do you have that friend that is always saying; "It'll never work." Have you heard them say, "I'm not a pessimist, I'm a realist!". If you know someone like that then they need my book. Its a little book packed full of perspective to help anyone stay on course - it's better than a compass!
