Are you ready? They say the end of the world is coming. I guess you still have a little time… the end of December 2012. But part of me is skeptical, and can’t help but wonder.  

Part of me sees these two Mayan guys carving away on this stone calendar. It’s probably taken them most of the year to get as much done as they did – when out of no where, the stone carving tool breaks. “Ohhhh Damn”, says the one Indian, “the tool broke…you got another tool Apu?”. “No… man, sorry Apo , I don’t, not on me”. “Well, at least it’s December and we made this calendar thing go so far already… heck everyone here will be dead by this time… I think I’ll just stop now”. “Yeah, I think that’s a good idea – I wanted to carve some on the pyramid anyway!”.   Yeah, I think it might of happened just like that… and all this end of the world stuff should be listed on Snopes.com as a hoax.

The thing is what really ends anyway – that’s the way I look at it. Christians are all wigged out about “The Rapture”. I’m still trying to figure out if they are upset about being taken or being left behind… I’m not sure which one is supposed to be the “bad” thing. But for those left behind… what ends? For those taken… well… I’m sure their soul and energy continue on somewhere… I don’t really know the impact of that that, but I’m sure it does.  

I for one am going to join the “Right Now” club. I’m not going to loose sleep over Christmas 2012. I’m not going to keep my eyes open for the bolt of lightening that is supposed to cross the skies from east to west… I’m going to focus on right now. God has things for me now. God wants me to do things NOW. So be it!
