Thought of the day

There are many thoughts we have easily over 40,000 a day. I just want to add one more.

Deep in the shadows of my mind.
The Druid's Grove ~ Thought of the Day

“I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.

(Thomas Jefferson)

Deep in the shadows of my mind

The other day I had a deep encounter with an aspect of my shadow. My mentor, Debbie Ford is a huge proponent in working with the shadow, and if you understand the shadow, and how it can work in your life, you’ll become a huge proponent for it too. I highly recommend your reading of Debbie’s book; The Darkside of the Light Chasers (you can find out more about it on the booklist found on my website; www.greenmancoaching.com . This one book will take you on a shadow journey and potentially teach you more of yourself, than you’ve ever known.

When I uncovered this little bit of my shadow, I was luckily in a controlled environment (therapy) and not much could happen – except for a few tears. But that is how the shadow works. It will always expose itself in a very powerful, visceral way. It will bring you to the edge of your most volatile emotions. People that have to deal with anger management must learn about the shadow, and how to integrate it into their lives.

The most important thing to remember about our shadow, is how very much we stand to learn from it. How much more definition it can bring into our life. There is no such thing of a shadow trait that does not bring it’s own form of blessing to our life. Yes, our shadow is long denied and hidden away traits that we do not want to be associated with, but they are forever a part of us, whether we like it or not. To accept this is not to become it… just to know it is there and that you can actually use those traits if you want to… if you need to.

Bright blessings ~ Richard

Don't forget to take a look at my book too!

Can someone please tell me why my life sucks?!

Its a little book packed full of perspective to help you stay on course - it's better than a compass!
