The Druid's Grove ~ Thought of the Day
“You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.”
(Winnie the Pooh)

Well, it’s the day after. All the votes have been counted and America has chosen for a change. A liberal President and Congress.
The blogs are running very hot today; just as hot as the campaign itself. McCain supporters woeing their losses and perhaps second guessing their failures, and Obama supporters jubilant in their victory, perhaps even gloating and obnoxious. I’m not either of these today. No matter my political position, the choice has been made and now is the time to move forward and work for positive change in our Country – for God’s sake we need it.
I am very touched at the historic moment in this Countries history. The fact that an African / American is the President of the United States of America brings with it a great deal of hope. It was only 45 short years ago when Martin Luther King Jr. shared his ‘dream’ with us from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. I pray that his dream - "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." – came true last night.
I pray that the split in this Country can and will be closed in a very bi-partisan way, so that not only do the democrats win… or the republican’s… but let us work together so that the Nation wins. Win / Win solutions are always the best. If there is ever a solution that is a win / loose situation, (and loose even by the smallest degree) then that solution must be thrown OUT! It is possible that everyone wins – it’s difficult, but it is possible. The United States of America was born out of revolution. We have just entered into another revolution… a time of change where we shall revolve and hopefully come 180 degrees from where we are now.
