Thought of the day

There are many thoughts we have easily over 40,000 a day. I just want to add one more.

The Druid's Grove ~ Thought of the Day

“I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.

(Thomas Jefferson)

Make-up exams will be given at a later date.

“ Everything happens for a reason.” Doesn’t that saying just piss you off sometimes? Especially when you are deep in “it”. After you’ve been in a terrible car accident; after your 3 month old nephew dies, or after you loose everything you have, and were it not for family, you’d be living on the streets. Don’t you just shake your head and say, “I don’t see the reason”.

I gotta tell you, I’ve lived through some of those things and I’ve been in that place where I’ve said, “I don’t see the reason”. But I’m still alive today (not yet homeless) and I gotta tell ya, (at the risk of pissing you off) – There IS a reason for everything. I think what that saying is meant to convey is not so much there is a reason everything happens (although of course there is) but more importantly that there is a LESSON in everything that happens. Whether you see something as good or bad, there is a lesson to be learned.

I don’t believe God, who gives us everything we need, would give us something we, one, don’t need, and two, would hurt us beyond repair (at least until it is our time). Because there is another saying, just as old and just as meaningful; “if it doesn’t kill you, it only makes you stronger”! And it only makes us stronger if we learn the lessons that are included – discover the ‘reason’ within. I don’t know who said it, but if you don’t go within, you will go without. Discover, and (more importantly) learn your lessons.

Because if you don’t learn your lesson the first time, you’ll have to take the test over.

Bright Blessings ~ Richard
