Thought of the day

There are many thoughts we have easily over 40,000 a day. I just want to add one more.

Ready or not here I come!
Greenman Coaching ~ Thought of the Day

"Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You."

(Dr. Suess )

Ready or not here I come!

After a conversation I had with a dear friend of mine, I wanted to share with you an excerpt from my book, “Can Someone Please Tell Me Why My Life Suck?!

“Acceptance – I cannot write how very important this principle is to every aspect of your life. Acceptance is the magical glue that holds everything you’ve just read in the previous chapters together, and more! You must, with an undying belief, accept all of this. That is not to say you can’t fight those things which you do not like happening to you, you can, but first you must accept that it has happened because you did some action to get it, you created it by your thoughts, you attracted it to you; YOU wanted it somehow. You must accept that “right now” is perfect and then move on.

...

“Acceptance is not easy. I will not lead you down some primrose path where a bed of roses waits for you at the end. We are constantly bombarded with external stimulus that can and does affect our life. I’m not saying that life is fair; it isn’t always fair. Next time you are at the courthouse, (and I’ve been there plenty of times) take a look at Lady Justice. Even her scales are a little skewed; one hangs lower than the other! It takes a very disciplined mind and heart to accept it all. Meditation can and will help in this endeavor. I encourage you to find a good book or CD on mediation and use it. Develop what is referred to as a spiritual practice and you will go far in your ability to accept those things you cannot change. Acceptance is one of if not the most important feeling we have to enable us to cope, which is why acceptance is the last stage of the 5 stage process of grief.”

As I said this can be a very difficult point to get to. Our ego often will get in the way of acceptance as a form of protection. And of course there are events and circumstances that we say we could never accept; yet we must. As famed Mystic Meister Eckhart said, “If we had God’s love in us, we could taste God in all his works and we would accept anything as from God and finish his work along with him.”
