I’ve been asked lately, “what is the secret to manifestation?”. With the popularity of the movie, The Secret, the law of attraction and other such great universal laws have taken a front seat again. They might not be in the driver’s seat, but that is only a matter of time.  

Well the secrets to the law of attraction are many. First, we must trust that everything is already out there. That is a truth. How often have you caught yourself saying I wish I could be like him, I wish I had all her beauty, I want to live like they do… if someone else has it… you can have it too. Next watch your words. When you manifest things in your life (this is called prayer to me) then do not use words such as, ‘want’ or ‘wish’. These words in themselves are words of lacking. If you want a thing or wish for a thing, you clearly lack that thing, and it is the lack that is uppermost in your consciousness. Since everything is already present for our taking then we must simply be thankful. So, don’t in your prayer say, “God, I want a new job”, or “I wish I was thinner”, but say rather, “Dear Father in heaven, I am so grateful for the new job you have sent me”. And when you speak, I truly mean speak. Do not keep your thoughts in your head, silent even from your own ears. Speak them out loud; your breath gives power to your words. Our breath can give life to another person during CPR, and it is our breath that can life to our prayer. Then we must speak in a language of feelings. Feelings are the language of the soul, our highest power. So, your manifestation can not merely be words, but must also carry the feelings, the emotions for that manifestation, it is your feelings that God hears, not always your words.  

Another thing we must remember in manifestation is the law of oneness; that we are all connected. In every way shape and form we are connected. Every action has its reaction and you and I cause a great many of these reactions. So be mindful of your actions for they will keep your manifestations at bay. Also, be aware of the reactions happening around you. There are no coincidences – every action around you, every day can bring new meaning into your life if you let it.  

Then last, but certainly NOT least, so very much relies on our faith or trusting belief. We must have faith that God has provided. I think The Secret did a bit of a disservice to the Law of Attraction by taking God out of the picture. So many walked away from the movie thinking that if we dream about something hard enough it will pop up out of thin air. That is not what the movie was saying but clearly that is what people felt after watching it. Nothing pops into existence out of thin air… it’s already there. God wants us to be happy and has so provided. But first and foremost in our relationship with God is our ability to choose.. So when we manifest, God does not just throw something into our lap, no, God places a choice in front of us.

It is then up to us to choose wisely.
