Thought of the day

There are many thoughts we have easily over 40,000 a day. I just want to add one more.

WHY?
The Druid's Grove ~ Thought of the Day

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own.
And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go."

(Dr. Suess )

Why?

What am I doing? Where am I going? Why am I alive? What is my purpose? We have been asking these questions for generation after generation; why it is we don’t seem to know the answers by now is really very interesting. I guess because there are so many different answers. Really, a different answer for every soul on the planet.

The world of psychology has one view; Maslow said our journey is one to “Self Actualization”, and Jung tells us our goal is “Individuation”. How many people really even know what that word means?! The world of religion has a dozen (at least) other views. The philosophers will tell us yet another answer. Who’s right? Do I go to church every Sunday, and die only to be born again in Christ to know my purpose, or do I integrate my shadow into my consciousness so that I may better understand the mass consciousness? Do I do nothing, so that life unfolds around me so my destiny can carry me on its current to where I am meant to be? Do I believe in nothing, thereby giving me the wisdom to know everything? What’s right? What’s wrong? Is there even a right or wrong?

Well, here’s the way I see it (one man’s point of view). We are spiritual creatures. Our body has evolved (for the most part) to where it will be. Oh we might all together loose our Appendix or little toe centuries from now, but it is our spirit, our soul if you will, that is in constant flux now. We are all about the evolution of our soul. We are here so that our soul may experience all that it may. How many times we come here for our experiences depends on the choices we make.

I kind of like the way Richard Bach put it; “ Here is a test to find whether your mission on Earth is finished: If you're alive, it isn't.”

Bright blessings ~ Richard

~ I'm now networking on MySpace... check out my page here. ~

Don't forget to take a look at my book too!

Can someone please tell me why my life sucks?!

Do you have that friend that is always saying; "It'll never work." Have you heard them say, "I'm not a pessimist, I'm a realist!". If you know someone like that then they need my book. Its a little book packed full of perspective to help anyone stay on course - it's better than a compass!

For this coming New Year I also highly recommend Debbie Ford's book - The Best Year of my Life.
