I wanted to take the time today to share with you a very special movie I recently had the experience to watch. If you are not familiar with the work of Dr. Wayne Dyer, I recommend that you discover it for yourself. Not so much his early work (he might even say so himself) but his later work. His latest endeavor is the movie called; Ambition to Meaning – Finding your Life’s Purpose.

If you have ever asked yourself the question, “Why am I here?”, or “What is my life all about?”; If you have ever questioned the direction of your life I encourage you to view this movie. You can stream it on your computer (if it’s fast enough) for less then the price of a Big Mac meal. This movie will at the very least inspire you, if not in fact help you to discover some answers for yourself.

We all have a purpose. We all want to leave this place knowing that our life meant something to someone. That purpose lay inside you, and it is our individual goal to uncover it. The key is you can get help in doing that – it doesn’t have to be a search all by yourself. Often I hear people say; “I’m not ready for a relationship – I need time to ‘find’ myself”. Well, it’s true that if you don’t know who you are you probably are not ready for a relationship, but sometimes… it’s a lot easier to find yourself, when you are connected to others. “… no man is an island …”, when John Donne (1572 – 1631) wrote this, I believe he was divinely inspired. Not just from the perspective of the ‘one man’, but from the collective perspective as well. He also wrote in that same passage, “any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind”. Become aware – be involved, and your life’s purpose will become known to you.
