Thought of the day

There are many thoughts we have easily over 40,000 a day. I just want to add one more.

What are you willing to give?!

In this life, we are so often required to “pay the price”.  This price can be anything from a few dollars to your very life blood.  The thing is, so often it is our choice how much we pay.  Even in material things, people charge us the money they think we will pay.  If no one pays it, then the price of the thing will fall.  What are you willing to give?

Of course this message is not about paying material things.  But let’s look at some others.  Are you willing to pay with your health to try and do “be successful”?  I did.  I paid with a heart attack for all the stress I chose to take.  Are you willing to pay with your happiness?  I did when blindly entered a relationship but ended up for all the wrong reasons.  Are you willing to give up everything you have?  I did so that I could start over again. Are you willing to give up your self?  I did, when I stopped lying to myself that what I was doing was right, and admitted I was wrong.

Service and sacrifice is critical to any life.  “ … as you sow, so shall you reap …”  There is a saying out there, “you get what you pay for” and it’s true in more ways than one!

Here’s a challenge for you today.  Give something.  Many things if you can.  Don’t just walk past the beggar.  Don’t hang onto that coveted seat in commute traffic.  Don’t routinely buy your lunch without giving the clerk behind the counter a smile and thank you.  Don’t routinely sit at your work desk all day.  Don’t come home to your family and zone-out in chair till dinner time.  Give of yourself.  In making those around you better people (even in just a little bit), you have increased your chances of being a better person… I guarantee it.
