Thought of the day

There are many thoughts we have easily over 40,000 a day. I just want to add one more.

Will you get off my back?

Whoa! Guys how many times have you heard yourself say THAT?!  We all know why you say it, you feel the firm setting of someone ridding you.  Usually that ‘someone’, is your ‘loved one’.  Oh, you know what we are talking about -   NAGGING.

Men hate it and women don’t do it!  Well, at least most women will tell me they don’t nag, but if you ask their partner, watch out!  Women tend to be more feeling (which is why the nagger is usually a woman, but not always), while men tend to be more stupid.  Just kidding, men are more of a “fix it” logical mind.  So when a woman reminds a man of those things he’s said he would do, or should do it’s not because she is nagging, it’s because he cares for her man, or she feels a job needing to be done is not getting done.  “hey you said you’d go to the doctor to get that checked”… “honey, the garbage won’t take itself out”…  “Baby, I like the savannah, but lets go to Africa to see it, not the back yard”.  OK, you partner might not be so passive-aggressive, but you get the point.

Nagging is a form of communication, and a poor one at that.  Ladies I understand your passion, but I have to tell you the quickest way to shut your man down is to nag him about something.  And guys, the easiest way to push your lady away is to make her think her feelings count for nothing; to ignore her.  Here’s a tip to men or women, if you find yourself thinking, “If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a million times”, or “Do I have to ask this till I’m blue in the face”… if you are feeling like this, the chances are you are nagging.

There are better ways to communicate.  We better find them.
