Thought of the day

There are many thoughts we have easily over 40,000 a day. I just want to add one more.

You can run, but please don't hide.
The Druid's Grove ~ Thought of the Day

"Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You."

(Dr. Suess )

Run, but please don't hide.

Have you ever needed to ‘just get away?’ If you are an introverted personality I’m sure you feel that all the time. I myself will admit to this sort of feeling; solitude can be my friend. On a spiritual level, we are taught that solitude and silence are necessary for our enlightenment.

I believe there is a fine line here though, for while we are not of this world, we certainly are part of it. We’ve all heard the saying “No man is an island …” by John Donne. It certainly is true. There are all kinds of things (mentally and physically) that drive us to want to be all alone. For some of us, this alone time is needed to recover some or re-energize, but I would warn you to not stay away too long. We all need each other. Just like the deer that gets separated from the herd is more vulnerable than the if they were with the herd, so are we more vulnerable when we are alone.

So, if you must get away, try to do that and somehow still be connected. When we become islands, we are subject to any tropical storm that comes our way to flatten us. If, however we remain a part of the continent, the storm may ravage our edges, but we will soon be back to normal with the help of our friends.

No man is an island – No man is ever alone.

Don't forget to take a look at my book too!

Can someone please tell me why my life sucks?!

Do you have that friend that is always saying; "It'll never work." Have you heard them say, "I'm not a pessimist, I'm a realist!". If you know someone like that then they need my book. Its a little book packed full of perspective to help anyone stay on course - it's better than a compass!
