"Those who trust us educate us." -- T.S. Eliot

Empowered people are trusted to use their judgement, learn from their experiences and build new paths when troubled times come.  Sometimes this means trying new things, keeping hopeful even when things seem desperate and knowing that your life is important.

When someone teaches how and why to do something, we are far more likely to remember it and live wisely.  Teaching comes in many forms, sometimes wise elders share their experience of what worked for them in the past other times we need to critically assess and determine what wisdom can be gleamed from the past and applied to the present.

Today we are living in times of change.  Times where we are called to risk trusting each other despite or maybe because of the injustices of the past.  Where will you find grounds of common unity and build trust that will end psychological and an social slavery that exists in modern times?  If needed are you prepared to be like the eagle, to fly alone when everything and everyone is telling you that there is no psychological and social slavery today and it is the individual who is at fault, when in reality there is a need for change that holds institutions accountable as well as the individual, in order to re-establish hope and trust?
