January 2010 message From Control to Surrender to Control
The journey back to our power promises many blessings that become real for us when we learn the balance of control and surrender. To our human understanding, these are opposites that have little in common. Yet they are on the same vibrational wavelength and depending where our energetic vibrations are, we will experience them in different ways. The relationship between surrender and control is strategic, vibrational, intentional and energetic and they all occur simultaneously. But, most importantly, without control we can’t learn about surrender and without surrender, we can never be in control.
We use many different strategies to be in control, including manipulation, begging, pleading, force and bargaining. Our ultimate goal is to know that we can make our life look like what we think it should, according to the goals we want to fulfill. If we want success, we will try anything to feel successful. If we want love, we will do anything to prove that we are lovable. But what we want and what we end up with are far different and our goals are often short term because they are based on our fear of not having what we want if we do not get it now, rather than our knowledge that the process always works when we give it the time, energy, effort and trust that it needs.
On a vibrational level, we are at the level of control that resonates with the level of vibration we resonate with. This is the Law of Attraction in action and we live with it every day. When we shift our vibration, we can bring other things into our reality. The process of shifting our vibration is based on surrender, acknowledging that we are doing the best we can and allowing spirit to enter our reality with new and different options. When we surrender we stop fighting and acknowledge the healing that we need to do to achieve new levels of growth and understanding.
It is always our intention to be in control, to manifest our reality in effortless, powerful ways but when that intention is based on control alone, we are simply mirror our fear of being powerless. With a fear-based intention for control, we are afraid that if we let go of the control we think we have, we will have to face the truth that we are not worthy of what we want. And the pain of that realization is so great that we will do anything to avoid it. Yet while we are in this state of being, powerlessness is what we are creating, so we are creating examples of our greatest fears instead of how powerful we can be when we shift our intention from control to surrender.
As humans we associate power with control, and those who are more powerful on a material level, who have more money, connections and success, seem to have more control over their lives. At least, we think that because they have the material means to control their reality, they do not have the same problems as those who have less. But that is just an opinion because there is no relationship between money and control on the spiritual plane. There is, however, a very strong relationship between energy and money, as they are the same thing. Money is the manifestation of energy on the material plane. When our energy is aligned with what we wish to create, we become powerful manifestors of our dreams. If we are not manifesting what we want, we have an energetic issue, which is revealed through what is manifesting in our life. With surrender, we can align our energy with our dreams and learn to release the blocks to the flow of energy in our life.
When did we create the blocks to our control? While we bring in past life issues of power and control, they are amplified with our first experience of trauma. This trauma occurred at any point in our life, but especially in our childhood. The first traumatic experience of our childhood created the belief that we were not in control and from that point on, we lived through the belief that we were not in control of our life and that we had to fight to maintain control on every level. Do you have a memory of some traumatic childhood experience where you felt out of control, afraid to die, physically, mentally or emotionally, or were hurt to the point that you did not think you would recover? That is where you are seeking to control your life and where your beliefs about control are centered. Everyone has a memory of this type and to regain control we must surrender this belief, make peace with that experience and learn to calm the inner child within so that we are able to surrender without the fear that our past will be repeated in every situation. Without this level of healing work, every life experience will repeat our control fears.
To surrender means to acknowledge that we cannot do this alone, it was never meant for us to walk our human journey by ourselves. That is why we have teams of angels and guides who are here to help us. It is why we have the promise of ascension as the goal of our journey. And it is why spirit waits for our invitation to expand our reality in ways we cannot imagine so that we can know what it means to have the life of our dreams. There will be times when we will not feel in control, when the ego’s desires are set aside so that something more appropriate can be created. Surrender requires that we learn to control the ego and understand its fears and then work through them so they can be balanced with spirit’s intention for our life, which is to create heaven on earth.
Through surrender we release the fear polarity the ego carries and bring in the energies of heaven, creating heaven on earth for ourselves and for all of humanity. Each of us can create our own heaven on earth which extends to all of humanity and that opens the gates of ascension to all of the earth and our journey will be complete.

The Importance of the Earth's Ascension
The Earth is the last planet of your solar system to complete the ascension process, which is why your progress is being watched so carefully and assisted as much as possible. When the 13th planet in your solar system is discovered, the ascension process will be complete. At that time your solar system will ascend and you will be able to see the other planets in their true form. This has been hidden from you because you have to complete the ascension process without assistance, as have the other planets. You will know of the existence of other life forms and beings within your galaxy. The ascension will include your solar system and your galaxy and as you move into higher dimensions a new earth will be born for those who ascend and one for those who do not choose to do so. There are those who are required to stay within the third dimension adn assist in additional aspects of the ascension process. They have chosen to do this and this is their contribution to the continuing energetic shifts in the Universe. All is in divine order.
Hurricane Katrina
This is another example of the earth changes that will occur in the world in order to assist humanity in the awakening process. These events are occurring to create opportunities for compassion and an opening of the heart connection for all of the people on earth. Honor and pray for the souls that participated in this process. Approximately one million people have given their lives to this cause. Act with compassion towards the refugees and the grieving, whether that involves giving of your time or financial resources.
The Tsunami in Asia
The tsunami in Asia is one of many earth changes which will occur over the next year. Beginning in 2005 you will experience many changes in weather patterns, climate and unusual storms and events. These are part of the earth's cycle. The souls who left the earth, and there will be close to 1 million deaths, although that number will not be reported, did so voluntarily. Their purpose was to create compassion and understanding, which they did. The outpouring of assistance for these areas was tremendous. At this time, the entire world stands together to help the survivors. Let this continue and become the new paradigm for humanity.
Why is there War instead of Peace?
Some of you wonder, if we have reached such a stage of enlightenment, then why do we still have war, why is there so much chaos? Remember that all things in the world are done by choice and each individual must choose their own spiritual evolution. So for many, the Shift will go unnoticed and they will continue to experience their karma. Each of you evolves at your own rate and you must not judge others' rate of evolution based on your own. As you shift you are able to send more and more light into the world. Each person who walks in the light can decide to choose peace. When enough of you make this choice, war will no longer be a choice. Focus on peace and on spreading light to the world. Be at peace in your own heart. This is the greatest gift that you can offer to others and it will assist in humanity's shift in consciousness more than you can know.
Global Unrest and Overpopulation
There is much confusion in the world today and much social and political unrest. This is causing much fear among humanity. You must remove yourself from the fear and see the situations as what they are, part of the spiritual plan. At this time, humanity has been invited to participate in an unprecedented Shift in consciousness. It is essential that you understand that the Shift in consciousness is one from your third dimensional reality, which is karma-based, to higher dimensions, beginning with the fourth, where karma does not exist. But karma must be experienced and forgiven in order to be fully erased. These incidents are opportunities to heal the karmic hierarchies that have been the center of humanity's existence and indeed, its central purpose in its incarnation on the Earth. That is why there are more people on the planet than there have ever been before, as many souls are incarnating in order to heal their karma, which can only done on the Earth plane.
Sickness and Disease
These are occurring at what appears to be an unprecedented level only because there are so many more people on the Earth at this time in order to participate in the Shift and to heal their karma. Of particular concern is heart disease and there will be many more incidents of 'heart attacks' in the upcoming years. This is because the Shift in consciousness is a movement in your emotional energy center from one of the three lower chakras to the fourth, the heart chakra. Many will be unwilling to shift this energy or will be unable to withstand the intensity of the energy at this heart center. The result will be a 'heart attack.' Cancer is a 'wasting' disease, representative of the fear, negativity, judgment and lack of love that has long been central to the human condition. Removal of these emotions, in the form of unconditional forgiveness, is a source of healing of this condition. There will be a rise in the number of cancer cases in the coming years, as well as other diseases, which appear to highlight areas of the human experience which require forgiveness.
Obesity
On a global level, obesity has become part of the human condition. This problem affects both men and women, but is particularly apparent among women. It is linked to your perception that you are 'less powerful' in spiritual terms which causes you to expand your size in your third dimensional reality. You live in societies whose sole purpose is to control and to keep you in your third dimensional state. Every day you are bombarded with messages that you are 'not enough' or do not 'have enough.' Once you reconnect to your spiritual center and realize that you are an infinite, unlimited emanation of the God Creator, you will not need to increase your presence on the physical plane in order to create a perception of more power.
Global Warming and Pollution
Your physical lifetimes are merely a speck in the flow of Consciousness and therefore you do not have an awareness of the Earth's ecological cycles. You worry about whether the planet will be destroyed through your wars or weapons of mass destruction or its ecology permanently damaged. Understand that the Earth will not allow humanity to destroy her and whatever damage is done to her environment will be healed. The increased interest in the Earth's ecosystems and the peace movements are part of the Shift. Know that these processes are guided by unseen forces on the spiritual and angelic realms and as more of humanity awakens to its spirituality, this type of harmful activity will diminish. What is more important is that the awakening of humanity is creating such an awareness of the Earth's needs that it is greatly accelerating the Shift. So do not be discouraged by what appears to be a battle that cannot be won because the battle is being won on the spiritual realm. The global problem of pollution is a reflection of the pollution within your own lives. Ask yourselves how your own lives are being polluted through your negativity, unforgiveness, judgment and relinquishing of your power. 'As within, so without.' As each individual clears the pollution in their emotional, mental and physical bodies, the Earth's environment will begin to reflect those changes.

The Fable of the Frog and the Scorpion
One day, a scorpion looked around at the mountain where he lived and decided that he wanted a change. So he set out on a journey through the forests and hills. He climbed over rocks and under vines and kept going until he reached a river.
The river was wide and swift, and the scorpion stopped to reconsider the situation. He couldn't see any way across. So he ran upriver and then checked downriver, all the while thinking that he might have to turn back.
Suddenly, he saw a frog sitting in the rushes by the bank of the stream on the other side of the river. He decided to ask the frog for help getting across the stream.
"Hellooo Mr. Frog!" called the scorpion across the water, "Would you be so kind as to give me a ride on your back across the river?"
"Well now, Mr. Scorpion! How do I know that if I try to help you, you won’t try to kill me?" asked the frog hesitantly.
"Because," the scorpion replied, "If I try to kill you, then I would die too, for you see I cannot swim!"
Now this seemed to make sense to the frog. But he asked. "What about when I get close to the bank? You could still try to kill me and get back to the shore!"
"This is true," agreed the scorpion, "But then I wouldn't be able to get to the other side of the river!"
"Alright then...how do I know you won’t just wait till we get to the other side and THEN kill me?" said the frog.
"Ahh...," crooned the scorpion, "Because you see, once you've taken me to the other side of this river, I will be so grateful for your help, that it would hardly be fair to reward you with death, now would it?!"
So the frog agreed to take the scorpion across the river. He swam over to the bank and settled himself near the mud to pick up his passenger. The scorpion crawled onto the frog's back, his sharp claws prickling into the frog's soft hide, and the frog slid into the river. The muddy water swirled around them, but the frog stayed near the surface so the scorpion would not drown. He kicked strongly through the first half of the stream, his flippers paddling wildly against the current.
The frog felt a sharp sting and knew that the scorpion had stung him. “Why did you do that?” he said, if you sting me we will both drown. “Oh,” said the scorpion. “I’m so sorry, but I can't help myself as it is my nature. I won’t do it again.” So the frog continued to swim and a few minutes later the frog felt another sting on his back. “Scorpion,” he said, “if you sting me I will not be able to carry you across the river and we will both drown.”
“I didn’t mean to do it,” said the scorpion.” "It's my nature but it won’t happen again.”
They were nearly across the river when the frog felt a third sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog's back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs.
"You fool!" croaked the frog, "Now we shall both die! Why did you do that when you said you would not do it again?"
The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drowning frog's back.
"I could not help myself. It is my nature." Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.
