COMMITMENT
COMMITMENT
As I learn more about love and share those concepts with you, I see it at work.
"A Return to Love" by Marianne Williamson which has been out a long time always still helps me. "A Course in Miracles" is one of my favorites. This is where "A Return to Love" came from.
Well today I want to share a passage from that book. In a hope it may help you to understand love in a deeper way.
"Whom God hath brought together, the ego cannot put asunder."
ACIM says "we are to have total commitment in all of our relationships, and they will never compete with one another. Commitment in a relationship means commitment to the process of mutual understanding and forgiveness-no matter how many conversations it takes, nor how uncomfortable those conversations might be."
Of course now many of you are arguing right now because your egos are engaged with the whole idea.
"I love you so much that I can release you to be where you need to be, to go where you need to go"
This moment in a relationships is not about an ending at all but about pure love and the ultimate fulfillment of the purpose of the relationship: that we find the meaning of
pure love.
I admit it sometimes doesn't feel like that But if you will reflect on this I know you will find the truth here once you bypass the ego's trickery.
The ego merely needs a promotion, where it has a grander purpose than separation.
