If you are just learning to live in the present moment, it takes a while to get the hang of leaving the past and the future alone. It's the ego's for confusion.
The Price of a Smile
:)
The price of a smile...today I met a woman walking her sheltie dog (looks like a mini collie). She had the most beautiful smile on her face and so did her dog. I couldn't help but laugh out loud. It made me smile on the inside, they were having such great fun walking in the rain. No umbrella, just drizzle and a pink leash and a fuzzy white hat.
Why am I writing about this? To illustrate that it's simple things that make us happy.
Here is my list of things that make me smile... maybe they will make you smile too.
- Red buds blooming
- Children laughing
- Convertibles
- Dogs running and playing
- Music
- The smell of rain
- Spring colors
- Cats who nuzzle you in the night
- Cranky older people - they give me a chance to lighten their day.
- Inspired writing
- Messages from people I love
- Apples, how they feel when you take the first bite
- Peeling and orange the fragrance and the feel of the skin beneath my fingers.
- Sand beneath my feet
- Rushing streams
- Mountain air
- Children learning to brush their teeth
- Mothers guiding their children
- Dads showing love
- Loving couples
- Sister and brothers hugging
- Friends smiles
I hope you can add to this list today, the things that make you smile most.
If I made you smile then it will set you free today to play with your energy and gifts. Have a good one!
