What does it really mean to go Green?
The Green word needs to be well defined by all organizations.
There can be one definition with many perceptions and interpretations.
For example, going green can mean using less paper to save a tree (yet printing legal documents or getting paper bills can save time if unable to get them online). Use wisdom.
Driving in a carpool saves the air, reduces congestion. (yet emotional draining with others in a carpool, unless it is a good match).
Recycling is going green, thus saving our precious resources from Earth Mother. Now is costs more to recycle containers, and the rebate is less. Therefore, are we headed to eating or consuming less?
We can try to see how little we need to consume and see what we do not need. Yet we may need to be in a viable community setting that provides for our basic needs if we decide to do less, eat less...
Energy is a form of energy that is what is one of the basic components we need to breathe, sleep, etc. How to use less energy?
What will it take to use less fuels to perserve precious energy? Using electric energy in cars is good, when the battery needs to be replaced at the cost of what we thought we saved ($6000.00) over the life of the battery, therefore there was no savings in the long-run, but a bill incurred in the short running of the electric vehicles at the cost of the consumer and at the benefit of the business.
When we breathe it takes energy, when we talk, think that also takes energy. We then need to consume energy food sources to rebuild and replace energy for vital functions in the human form. What if we choose to eat less, talk less and think less? How much would we conserve?
Try making a left turn and conserve your own energy... Simple, turn towards your right, then your facing left then walk. This reduces energy and increases energy conserved.
