Advisor copycats
Today a new advisor wrote and asked me to design her listing for "web production" on ingenio. Like she wanted to market my design as hers to would be clients. To make matters worse she chose a name very similar to mine hoping to confuse people I assume. I wrote and asked her why she thought it was okay to have me design her webpage...as in why can't you do it? Sarcastically I asked her if her name was a coincidence and she actually told me it was done delibrately!
Was your member name by pure chance too?
No, it wasn't by chance. As a matter of fact, my friend who is in Keen as a Tarot reader recommended it. We thought of yours and I liked mine. We thought that was all I was trying to do. I don’t think it is taking your name. I will probably have to think about this new name for this new venture of mine. I don't even know if I can actually change it.
In this business mockery is not a form of flattery it is someone hoping to cash in using your reputation. The moral of the story is protect your name, the site allows you 3 accounts. Use them to make variations of your member name so someone cannot attempt to divert clients.
If you are jane doe also open a jan doe and a jane deo because the copy cat will most likely use your same member photo if it is an image in attempts to further fool your clients. If you need me to design your member photo with your name on it let me know.
