Were you the class clown? Told by your friends to try comedy? Or maybe you have been performing stand-up comedy for awhile, but want to get to the next level. That's where a Stand-Up Comedy Coach comes into play. I am a nationally touring 12 year veteran of the comedy circuit, a former college booker (NACA), former comedy club booker (Stand-Up NY, Carolines Comedy Club), and a former writer for Saturday Night Live. My job is to take your goals in comedy and create a solid plan to get you to the level you want to achieve. I can help you build your first 5 minute set or help you work on your set for Letterman. Sessions are adjusted to each individual and their own needs. A typical session will include: -joke writing -building your act -how to get a great tape -difference between mc/opener, feature/middler & headliner -finding your style/voice -getting into big comedy clubs -getting paid road work -the college, cruise ship, corporate market -pros & cons of open mics/bringer shows -how to promote yourself -building stage presence -dealing with bombing and hecklers -building a following -what kind of pay to expect -getting an agent/manager -which comedy books and websites are best -get a list of open mics & comedy clubs * and much more.
