I am a world-class expert in Excel, especially in complex formulas, database lookup & retrieval, nested functions, workbook design strategies, user interfaces, data validation, linked worksheets, and essentially every function Excel has! I pride myself in being able to coerce, trick, and fool Excel into doing anything I wish, without the use of Macros (except in extreme cases). I know many techniques and am never stumped by an Excel problem.

I have over 25 years in spreadsheet development experience, with a strong engineering background. I have used Excel since the program was first introduced, and before that, I used Lotus 1-2-3, Visicalc, and 1-2-3's successor Symphony. My background gives me additional skills in structured programming techniques that allow the creation of error-free workbooks, including workbooks which detect and even correct for errors, missing data, incorrect user entries, and so on. I can explain techniques that will allow you to modify your workbooks in the future without disrupting their existing functionality.

I also teach Excel live in classrooms, and have much experience standing before large audiences. I'm patient and speak clear, unaccented English, making me an ideal candidate to teach Excel to you, or explain any problem's solution by voice only.

I have even used Excel to design the flight computers now aboard the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope. (These are part of the STIS and NICMOS instruments.) Excel was used to maintain electronic timing analyses, parts lists, power & weight estimates, determine circuit board and box sizes and volumes, create wire & cable interconnects, and so much more.
