Credit Repair & Dealing With Collection Agencies Is Easier Than You Think!
Consider the Credit Bureau Report (CBR for short) for a moment. It's a report card of how you've lived your life. Except this report card is accessible to more than just your teachers. This report card is accessible by ANYONE who has your social security number. Every time you apply for new cell service, a new credit card, buying a home, buying a car, heck even looking for employment! You heard right folks, even businesses you apply to for employment are looking at your credit history and gaining such information as how many jobs you've had in the last 10 years, how many times you've moved, and how much debt you've defaulted on. All in the name of trying to find a stable employee.
But how much of this is truly invading your privacy?!? Does someone who hasn't even hired you yet have a RIGHT to be looking at your creditworthiness? The unfortunate answer here, is YES. Especially after you sign the credit release form that's included in the pre-employment packet along with the application. And if you REFUSE to sign the release form, guess what? They won't even look at you and everything goes into the trash. So you're caught between a rock and a hard place. Sign it, and lose every bit of privacy you ever hoped for... Don't sign it, and don't work.
So as you can see, the CBR is a pretty important set of papers. But do you know what's on it? Do you know how to control what's on it? Is something on the report that shouldn't be and how do you know? Are there time limits to how long something stays on your credit report? The common answer is 7 years, but that answer is wrong.
Call me today, and I will give you STATE SPECIFIC laws and guidelines particular to YOUR individual case. NO OTHER ADVISOR CAN DO THAT! Time limitations aren't always 7 years, and they vary from state to state as do the laws governing debt collection.
I am a former debt collection specialist who was contracted to work for the Department of Education collecting on FEDERAL student loan debt. I was trained by one of the two best agencies in the country on the DoE contract.
So you may be asking yourself why I'm not there anymore. I left because I couldn't handle the lies to YOU, the consumers. We were trained to say and do ANYTHING to get the payment, including breaking the law. Now I've left the company and the lies and I'm putting my knowledge to work for YOU.
What can the collection companies say, do and threaten you with? CAN they threaten you? If they can, how so? What can they do? (Sue, garnish, etc...) Should you pay off that bill that's been on your credit for 6 years? Call me today and get the answers to all these questions and more from someone who's been on both sides and knows EXACTLY what to do to fight these corporate giants.
