True comedy.. the real comedy.. the best comedy--comes from tragedy. In it's basic form, or most refined.
If you can laugh at it--it's okay. If you can laugh at it, find the silver lining, realise its place in the Grand Comedy that is Life, you are pulling out the piece that is not so bad, in a way. And from there, you take another step...
Here, here: a seasoned funny person.
I have probably the most expansive and effed up humour of anyone you've ever come in contact with.
I can make light of just about any situation--to your proverbial face even, if I know that it is welcomed.
Here, here: a person who's been through some stuff. I haven't been through it--that unique experience that you share with... yourself. And sometimes the people around you. But I've probably been through something like it. Something better, something worse. We can compare notes and talk about how the time I walked in on my parents having sex in my bedroom when all I wanted was my jump rope is like the time you got so nervous you peed your pants in front of an audience (or whatever crazy thing you can't get over)
Maybe you wanna hear a cheesy joke. Maybe you wanna hear the Aristrocrats. Maybe you want someone to laugh at your jokes or tell you that it's okay your grandmother died or you lost your job or your leg in a motorcycle accident.
I am not claiming to be the funniest person you have ever met (that takes getting to know a person's unique sense of humour; time and practice--repeat callers may challenge my previous non-parenthetical statement!). I am claiming to be able to find a way to laugh about just about anything, under the heaviest, darkest clouds.
And I can help you to do the same.
