Toronto, ON. & San Francisco – (March 14, 2005) – Today, DCCI Inc., the leader in telephone-based call measurement services (CMS), and Ingenio, Inc. the company pioneering a new concept in online advertising with the Ingenio Pay Per Call™ Advertising Platform, announced a strategic alliance. As part of the alliance, the companies will make local phone numbers widely available to online Yellow Pages directories interested in offering the Ingenio Pay Per Call service to advertisers.Under the terms of the exclusive deal, DCCI and Ingenio will work together to provide options to online Yellow Pages publishers across the US and Canada, who, in the context of Pay Per Call, wish to offer both local and toll-free numbers to their advertisers. This new development grants publishers increased choice and flexibility in delivering the Ingenio Pay Per Call advertising service to the local market.
“Today’s announcement leverages the strengths of two best-of-breed players in the Call Measurement and Pay Per Call industries,” said Richard Zurawski, President and Chief Executive Officer, DCCI. “We look forward to partnering with Ingenio to shape the Pay Per Call opportunity for online Yellow Pages directories and other publishers.”
Initially unveiled in Q2 2004, the Ingenio Pay Per Call Advertising Platform is tailor-made for local merchants without e-commerce websites who wish to effectively advertise online. Unlike pre-pay and click-based advertising options, Ingenio Pay Per Call allows advertisers to use an Internet-based, pay-for-performance system to drive targeted phone calls – rather than clicks – to their businesses for easy and efficient customer acquisition.
“Just as Pay Per Call expands the options in pay-for-performance online advertising, so does this new local number capability,” said Mark Britto, Chief Executive Officer, Ingenio. We are looking forward to working with DCCI to provide more choices to publishers and advertisers interested in Pay Per Call solutions.”
