Hello! My name is Tony, I was clean for four years, powder cocaine was my drug of choice. In September of 2000, I owned two sucessful businesses, a Buy here Pay here Car Lot and the biggest Pressure Washing Company in the East Tennessee area, with an income to choke a mule. I lost everything I had in less than 3 months, my habit ran well over 15 thousand dollars a month, and all good things come to an end. When I was clean for those four years my addiction was in the gym working out 24/7, it was stronger than ever it took me over in a big way, this time I could not stop on my own this was one thing I knew. I thank GOD for my wife although she did leave me, see she had never even smoked a joint and didn't know me before I cleaned up the last time so these drugs and my actions were all new to her she was my best friend and I did not see that. My wife found a Rehab for me in Flordia and of course I went to "SHUT HER MOUTH" and try and save my marriage, when I was there one of the guest speakers said: if you relapsed....so what....now what! WOW, what a powerful statement that was, that's what I needed to hear, so my recovery started. Yes I have lost everything except my wife she's my little trooper and as of November 14, 2002 I will be clean once again for ~TWO~ years and life is precious being clean, ok enough of my war stories, Recovery is about this. If one person says one thing that helps you or another then the mission is complete just like my case, I was beating myself up because I relapsed. I have dedicated my life to help others, you don't need a special background to do this all that's required is that you've been there and done that.
