Learn what your oriental rug is worth
I love rugs. I have been in the business for over twenty years, sometimes from a shop sometimes out of my home. It is something I have come to know a good deal about and have written a number of journal articles on carpets. In the early 1980s I appeared on Iowa television giving talks on oriental rugs. In the 1990s I was Oriental Rug editor for Antiquitaten Zeitung. For a time I wasa consultant to the Textile Department of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston I am also the founder and director of The BostonRug Society. I have acted as a consultant to many collectors and many of the rugs I have sold are now in some of the great collections of the world. My search for rugs and textiles have taken me to such places as Tibet,Nepal and the bazaars of Egypt. I amstill available as consultant on buying trips.
