My objective was to resolve the problem 1) without leaving my laptop with a technician somewhere and 2) without losing data files. Because of the efficiency of his communication and ability to instruct tactically how to resolve a problem, Robert walked me through the resolution process and, in that way helped resolve the issues quickly meanwhile learning to take care of my computer independently going forward.
