Most people discover their computer has a virus or other kind of infection when their anti-virus program tells them that it found an infection BUT cannot remove it.
This is when a human (like myself) who knows where to look, where to find new resources to combat new kinds of infections, and exactly what to do to fix virus problems... becomes very helpful and necessary.
