Composite Materials Manufacturing and Engineering
I have been working in the composites industry for over 10 years. My primary experience is in producing polymeric composite structures for the aerospace industry, especially launch vehicles, spacecraft, and unmanned aircraft (UAVs). I ahve also worked on a variety of other projects, including sporting goods and industrial equipment. My skills include design, analysis (finite element and analytical models), manufacturing (everything from hand layup to autoclave molding to filament winding), testing (coupon and full-scale structural), purchasing, marketing, proposal preparation and technical writing. I have experience with most fiber types (fiberglass, graphite, carbon, Kevlar and other aramids), and with a variety of polymeric matrices (epoxy resins, cyanate esters, phenolics and others). I am currently working as an independent consultant.
