Real estate investment is no time for guesswork; you've got to know what you're doing. After 20 years in the real estate industry, New York REALTOR® Rashied K. Sharrieff-Al-Bey has seen a lot of change. He brings this insight, gained from his many years and broadly ranging experience, to every transaction in which he is involved, obtaining mutually beneficial results for all concerned.
Rashied began in the mortgage financing business in the Phoenix, AZ market in 1983, working with such companies as Delson Financial, Northern Ohio Mortgage, and Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Bankers, and at 24, was at the time the youngest mortgage loan officer in the Sun Valley area. Simultaneously, Rashied was a District Manager for the Massachusetts Indemnity Life Insurance Co. for the last year and a half of his Phoenix residency.
Rashied returned to his hometown of Brooklyn, NY in 1986, and shortly thereafter entered the human services field, doing graduate studies in Lincoln University’s Masters of Human Services program. He worked with the NYC Dept. of Housing Preservation and Development as a mediator in the NYC Landlord/Tenant Housing Court, and with the NY Urban League as a Fair Housing Counselor.
These positions were followed by several years with the Office of the New York City Marshal, which was contracted to execute Housing Court judgments on behalf of distressed home owners, then followed by several years more in residential management. He has served as Manager of Residential Services with agencies providing services to the developmentally disabled, supervised Medicaid Services in two counties, and as Director of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities Services, providing leadership to staff in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Nassau County who serve the developmentally disabled.
Rashied focused his real estate interests on property sales, launching his real estate career at CENTURY 21 Homefront, an independent brokerage in Brooklyn, NY, where he began building his professional practice, combining aggressive personal promotion and the use of systems, delegation strategies, and unique lead generation. Rashied trains novice agents and REALTORS® in New York City residential real estate practice. He is also currently a principal in a property development investment group, and shares his financial knowledge with youngsters who are interested in learning about the importance of their financial IQ.
Rashied Sharrieff-Al-Bey has implemented numerous systems, technologies, and attitudes that have enabled him to build what many would consider to be one of the top real estate careers in New York.
